New York Giants Draft Needs

New York Giants Draft Needs

DE, OT, OLB, SS, FS,

Potential picks at #9 for the Giants. Personally I feel the Giants can use another pass rusher to go with JPP especially with Spags back at the helm, we know he loves to rush 4. But, the giants have a lot of pressing needs in a lot of areas of the field. I will list the potential picks who can possibly be available at #9.

1) Randy Gregory DE (Unlikely) I think he's the best pass rusher in the draft and if he were to drop to #9 the Giants better run to the podium.

2) Shane Ray DE Awesome athlete who can rush the passer. Needs to get stronger and work on his pass rushing arsenal.

3) Danny Shelton DT - Massive man, who can take up 2 blockers. Has pass rushing ability. His weight blossoming could be a issue as it was in college at times. a pairing of Shelton and Hankins and JPP off the edge could get the Giants D-Line back to form.

4) Brandon Scherff OT/OG - Very versatile player. Can play guard or tackle. many say he suits best as a guard and can be a starter from day 1. If the Giants take Scherff he would improve the O-line by leaps and bound.

5) Amari Cooper WR - Yes Wideout isn't a glaring need but if the previous players are gone Cooper may be to hard to pass up on. With the uncertainty of Cruz's knee and the inconsistent play of Randle, pairing Cooper up with Beckham could be lethal for Eli and the Giants.

6) Alvin Dupree DE- Might be one of my favorite players in the draft. Physical specimen, but he with that he can flat put ball. Like most pass rushers he's not polished but with some good coaching he can be a stud. I wouldn't be upset at all if they chose Dupree. Some might say it's a reach but i think he can be special.

My next post will be on who the Giants can get in round and 2 and on to help bolster there roster.
