Is Devin Hester a Hall of Famer?
A big question that a lot people ask is should a special team performer be inducted into the Hall of Fame? There's only one special teams player in the Hall of Fame and it's a placekicker but the Hall of Fame should get ready to induct there 2nd member and his name is DEVIN HESTER. Since this guy has step on to the field as a punt returner/kick returner he has brung a sense of fear to the opposing teams kicking game. His rookie year he was electric with his dazzling returns but we have seen returners have a good season returning kicks and never heard from them ever again, not this guy. He almost fell in to that category cause in 2008 and 2009 he didn't have a return touchdown after having 12 returns for touchdowns in his first two years in the league which is absolutely ridiculous. The Bears had try to make him into there #1 wideout those years so his focus on the return game wasn't all there but the Bears realized for this guy to have impact he needs to be a full time punt returner and 2010 he struck again for 3 returns for touchdowns. This is the same guy that returned a freaking opening kick in the Super Bowl for a touchdown. He has 18 kick/punt returns for touchdown in his career and that's by far the most in NFL history and special teams is a huge part of the game. He is a Hall of Famer, who said offense and defense should just get the nod. He has changed games and is a huge reason why the Bears went to the super bowl his rookie year. The scary part is he still in his prime and has a lot more years to add to that return total.
