Eli Manning Elite? Yes he is
Remember when a reporter ask Eli if he was a "Elite Quarterback" and he responded "yes i am im just as good as Tom Brady" everyone was laughing at that statement. Well now he's backed up that statement by proving he is a "ELITE" quarterback. He has a Giants team that was suppose to be a 6-10 by most analyst and fans because of all the losses in the off season (Boss and Smith) and the injuries that mounted on them in the preseason. He has this team at a surprising 6-2 and a huge win over the vaunted Patriots and that guy named Brady and Eli drove with a minute plus and led a game winning drive vs the Patriots. Eli has cut down the turnovers greatly and has 4 4th quarter comebacks this year and his stats are gaudy. He's thrown 15 touchdowns to 6 interceptions, he has 63 percent completion rating and a stellar 98.8 quarterback rating. He has played absolutely great this year and he play is on par with the likes of Drew Brees, Tom Brady and just under the play of Aaron Rodgers.He has played like a "ELITE" quarterback this year and if he can go through this stretch of tough games(49ers,Packers,Saints,Eagles,Cowboys 2x,Jets and Skins) and there tough he'll be sinched as a no doubt "ELITE" quarterback.
Deion Sanders said it himself, "I believe in Eli" and so should eveyone else. Going beyond the numbers, Eli is one of the smarter QB's in the league his ability to read defenses pre-snap and how he adjusts each play to counter whatever the defense brings is very similer to what peyton does. His accuracy has also been outstanding this season. What also impresses me is how Eli can lose two of his top weapons from last season (TE Kevin Boss-Raiders) and (WR Steve Smith-Eagles) and is still on pace to have his best season as a pro due to how quick he developed chemistry with his very young receiving corps especially Victor Cruz and TE Jake Ballard who was thought to be a blocking TE. He has the skill, the confidence, and the hardware which is why Eli Manning is an elite QB.
